I am going to show you How to Install a new SSL TLS on cPanel for free.

First please login with your credentials in cPanel. This is how it supposed to look. But be aware that theme may vary.

Do not use the Comodo certificate or the server generated one. You have some better alternatives.

Find the option ssl/tls and click on it.

On Install And Manage SSL for your site click Manage SSL sites

On this page you have the option to Install an SSL Website.

How can you get a free good SSL certificate?

Go to Google and search for Free SSL.

You will find a domain called sslforfree.com.

Lets go to this domain.

On this page write your domain name. We use for this video demo.dexblog.net

Press Create Free SSL Certificate.

To verify this is the domain you have different options. You can check every single one and see what is best for you. We are going to use Manual Verification.

Press on Manually Verify Domain and you will get a file that you need to add it in a specific folder on your site.

Let’s save the html file.

Now let’s go back to cPanel. Click on home and go to File Manager.

Click on Public html folder.

If you go to the SSL generate site you will see that the file they gave you needs to be on a specific folder. So let’s create that directory path.

Lets press create folder on file manager.

It seems we have an error. The folder already exists. If it does not exists create it.

But where is the folder? Let’s look at Settings.

Check Show Hidden Files.

On the path provided on SSLforfree.com upload the file they provided.

Now press on Retry Manual Verification.

Press on Download SSL Certificate and wait until it is generated.

Let’s go again on SSL management on cPanel.

Let’s copy the info from the sslforfree.com to cPanel.
Also you can create an account on this site so you get the notification when the SSL expires and get that renewed.

After this select the domain and press Install Certificate.

Your site should now have a good SSL certificate installed.

Note that every 90 days you need to update the SSL certificate.

Thank you for watching and please thumbs up, share and subscribe.
